Yin Yoga is a slow, mindful practice during which lying and seated poses are passively held for 3-5 minutes. Long-held poses help to overcome restrictions in the fascia and other connective tissues, significantly improving range of motion. The stillness and quietness of this practice enables the nervous system to switch into 'rest and digest' mode and the mind to become completely engrossed in the present moment. Yin Yoga is a perfect counterbalance to Yang, active, competitive and fast-paced lifestyle many of us lead.

Typically, Yin Yoga focuses on hips, legs and spine. However, in this session we will pay closer attention to shoulders and neck - the areas which tend to accumulate a lot of tension and are often overlooked in yoga practice.

Yoga Nidra, literally yogic sleep, is a deep relaxation technique which enables us to access the subconscious mind. 30-minutes relaxation involves body and breath awareness and visualization techniques.
