Surya Namaskar, the Sun Salutation, is a series of 12 postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. Inhale as you extend or stretch towards the sky, and exhale as you fold or contract towards the earth.
The Sun Salutation builds strength, stamina and increases
flexibility. Different styles of yoga perform the Sun Saluation with their
own variations but the flow presented below covers the basic steps used in
most styles.
A single round consists of two complete sequences: one for the right side
of the body and the other for the left.

The Plough - Halasana.
This folded over inversion is wonderfully rejuvenating to the entire nervous system. It tones the abdominal organs and stretches the spine to it's maximum!

Remember to keep your hands on the lower back if your feet don't meet the ground.
To deepen this pose, lift the thighs away from the face and lengthen the heals behind you. Keep breathing into the belly and roll down one vertebrae at a time to come out. Keep your neck straight.
The Plough - Halasana.
