Surya Namaskar, the Sun Salutation, is a series of 12 postures performed in a single, graceful flow. Each movement is coordinated with the breath. Inhale as you extend or stretch towards the sky, and exhale as you fold or contract towards the earth.
The Sun Salutation builds strength, stamina and increases
flexibility. Different styles of yoga perform the Sun Saluation with their
own variations but the flow presented below covers the basic steps used in
most styles.
A single round consists of two complete sequences: one for the right side
of the body and the other for the left.

Cresent Moon - Anjaneyasana.
This intense backbend gives you a great stretch from the front of the thigh to the top of the hip.
It also tones the kidneys and liver.

Remember to keep the front knee directly on top of the ankle and stabilise yourself by pressing the front foot into the floor. Keep moving your hips forward & down and try to lengthen the tailbone to the floor so you don't collapse in the lower back. Lift and open the heart, reaching the fingertips up. Gaze to the sky and breath!
